A Member of Parliament stated:

The mismatch between price and the quality of after-sales service of vehicles

A member of Industries and Mines Commission of the 10th Parliament believes that holding specialized conference is a good opportunity to evaluate domestic capabilities, exchange experiences and use the successful models in the world.

According to PersianKhodro report, Seyed Javad Hosseini Kia expressed this matter and pointed out that one of the main problems of the automotive industry in Iran is that we do not produce competitive products. He said: “As long as the board members of the companies are the shareholders of automotive industry, this problem will not be solved.”

He added: “Unfortunately, this is a vicious cycle that is leading our auto industry out of the competition. Today the only criterion for determining the price of a car in our country is interests of producers and there is no place for consumer satisfaction while the prices of autos are determined only by the need of market in the world because of competition and the logical flows of supply and demand so that shareholders do not play a role in this field.”

Hosseini Kia referred to the 4th Iran Automotive Industry International Conference which is going to focus on sales and after-sales services and said: “Holding this conference is a very good movement in the automotive industry of Iran because it provides awareness about after-sales service in the world for our society and we can compare the current situation of these services in Iran with the world.”

He said: “Of course, holding this kind of conferences is not going to change our automotive industry by itself and the domestic companies must start moving in this field correct and logical to see the development of our automotive industry.”

He emphasized: “As long as the automakers does not want to make changes, providing successful models and new technologies in the conferences won’t make any changes in our automotive sales and after-sales services.”

Despite the critiques on holding conferences in the country, he hoped: “Holding the 4th conference of the automotive industry is going to be a start for changing the quality, after-sales service and price in the automotive industry of Iran.”

The Member of Parliament pointed out that today the most important factor in providing after-sales service is customer-satisfaction and said: “Customer satisfaction is the main goal for providing after sale services by foreign automakers while our customer satisfaction from domestic automakers after sales service is not absolute because there is mismatch between price and the quality of their after-sales service.”

Hosseini Kia stressed that the price should be increased properly by the quality of after-sales service and said: “It is expected the 4th International Conference paving the way for a qualitative development in automotive after sales services in Iran.”

The 4th Iran Automotive Industry International Conference with a focus on sales and after-sales services is going to be held on 12-13 February 2017 at the International Conference Center in Tehran's Milad Tower.
